Things To Do In Central Seoul

1 : Visit Gyeongbok Palace

This is Korea's most well-known royal palace.
See the changing of the guard 3 times per day, (10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.) exceot Tuesdays.
It's located at Gwanghwamun Station next to other tourist attractions, such as the King Sejong Statue and Cheonggyecheon Stream.
2 : Walk along Cheonggyecheon Stream

This man-made stream running through the heart of Seoul is over 8 kilometers (5 miles) long! It opened in 2005 and cost nearly 1,000,000,000 dollars to complete.
Along the stream, you will find several waterfall art galleries and many overhead bridges.
3 : King Sejong's Statue - Gwanghwamun

The statue of King Sejong the Great is a golden statue located on Gwanghwamun Square in downtown Seoul.
Sejong was responsible for the creation of Hangul, the Korean alphabet, and other advancements.
A passageway behind the statue leads to the Story of King Sejong Exhibition Hall.
4 : Tourist Shopping Street : Myeong-Dong

In 2013, Myeong-dong was listed as the ninth most expensive shopping street in the world
This popular district features street food carts, major shopping malls, and entertainment.
Though best known for its shopping, night life, and eating, it also boasts the beautiful Myeongdong Catherdral, .
5 : N Seoul Tower

Since 1980, the N Seoul Tower has been a landmark of Seoul.
Built in 1969, it is 236 meters high with an elevation of 479 meters above sea level.
The easiest and quickest way to reach the N Seoul Tower is by the Namsan Cable Car. You can also hike up a trail with hundreds of stairs to reach the tower,
6 : Bukcheon Hanok Village

Bukcheon Hanok Village is a historic village dating back almost 600 years which features hanok or Korean traditional houses. Bukchon means “northern village.” The village lies in a hilly neighborhood between the two royal palaces, Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace.
7 : Insa-Dong : Korean Culture Street.

Insadong is a popular neighborhood in the heart of Seoul that is often visited by locals and tourists wanting to experience the traditional culture of Korea. Streets and narrow back alleys are lined with art galleries, wooden tea houses, restaurants, cafes, with small shops selling arts and crafts.
8 : Traditional Market : Namdaemun

Namdaemun Market, first opened in 1964, is the largest traditional market in Korea with over 10,000 retailers, vendors, and wholesalers. The market is a dense maze of stalls, vendors, and restaurants. Nowhere else in Korea can you find such a large collection of interesting and traditional Korean items for sale in one place.
9 : Take a Seoul City Bus Tour

Seoul City Tour Bus is a shuttle bus that keeps circulating the courses from Gwanghwamun so that it is very convenient to visit popular sightseeing spots.
A one-day pass, lets you get on off wherever you want.
The bus provides headsets with English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean audio guides.
